Today, Allient is headquartered in Buffalo, New York, and serves customers throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Asia via our Technology Units, Sales Units, and Solution Centers. Take a look at our history to see how we've grown.
1939 ▶ 1962
Hathaway Corp. was founded in 1939 and in 1962, under the laws of Colorado, Hathaway Corporation was incorporated as a public company.
2001 ▶ 2003
In 2001 a decision was made to focus on motion and divest the instrumentation business. By 2002 the instrument business was sold and our focus on motion began. The company was then renamed to Allied Motion Technologies in 2003.
2010 ▶
Formed Allied Motion Controls.
2023 ▶ 2024
In 2023, twenty years after becoming Allied Motion Technologies, we expanded our technology offering and changed our name to Allient (Allied Nexus Technologies) to reflect the breadth of capabilities and products we offer that go beyond motion. Adding the technology pillars of Allient Controls and Allient Power to our already successful Allied Motion.
December of 2024 marked the further growth of our business when Allient Defense Systems (ADS) was established.
