EC Series EtherCAT Servo Drives
The EC Series EtherCAT servo drive provides high performance servo operation using digital networking technology and a wide range of feedback options with EtherCAT connectivity. This network is high speed and easy to implement with cost-effective, industry-standard cabling. For highly coordinated axis control, up to 16 EC drives can be interfaced to an SMLC-e EtherCAT controller using EtherCAT protocol for motion control networking.
The Drive supports a wide variety of high-performance servo motors such as brushless rotary, linear motors, as well as DC brush-type and voice-coil motors. Reliable IGBT-based intelligent power modules provide cost effective solutions for motion control applications. An all-digital design eliminates the troublesome analog interface between PC and drive systems, replacing it with a high-speed network based on the EtherCAT standard. EC Series servo drives operate on 120-240 or 240-480 VAC input power and have output short-circuit and over-voltage protection.
Safety Features Include:
• Standard Safety Interlocks
• Alarm Detection
• Reporting over EtherCAT Network
• Safe Torque Off (STO), supporting EN13849-1
